光電、能源與生醫物理實驗:
我們的研究主要的研究重點在光電、能源和生醫技術方面的研究。光電領域裡我們專注於有機太陽能電池和光電顯示元件的研究,其中發展高效率之可撓式太陽能電池是我們的研究重點;至於在能源領域方面,我們著重在LED固態照明元件的效率和色溫的改進,以及未來電動車電池與燃料電池的開發,其中發展高導電率的固態電解質材料是我們的發展重點;此外,本實驗室使用最先進的軟微影技術、奈米壓印技術、和奈米浸筆微影技術,用以製作高效率之有機太陽能元件、可撓式導電高分子基材、光電顯示元件、光子晶體、以及製作有機電子和半導體元件等。
在生物醫學領域我們主要著重於生醫物理技術的開發,用於解決神經、幹細胞與癌症研究上相關之生物醫學問題,跨領域的研究方式與特點使我們跟化學、生物或醫學等領域的科學家可以合作,我們在研究上使用許多不同的生醫技術和方法,在主題上我們研究活體生物系統中的基礎生物物理現象,同時也努力的將實驗室所發展的技術和方法應用於臨床診斷與治療;此外,我們也進行基因體和蛋白質體學的研究,主要專注於利用醫用電子顯微技術對蛋白質進行結構分析,以幫助我們對病菌致病的瞭解並且有助於藥物開發。
